Standard Duty & Deluxe Duty Lift Tables

TECHNICAL

A. MECHANICAL:

  1. Wheel and Dolly Set (see Fig. 1) - A wheel and dolly set is used for moving empty lifts only and is available on lifts with minimum length platforms only.
  2. Caster Wheels (see Fig. 2) - Caster wheels are used for moving empty or loaded lifts with any size platform. Two wheels are swivel and two wheels are fixed. Caster wheels can be end mounted or side mounted which increases the lift lowered height by approximately 5", or they cn be mounted under the base frame which increases the lift lowered height by approximately 7-3/4".
  3. Bevel Toe Guards - 8" bevel toe guards are required by OSHA on lifts that are recessed into the floor, and increase the minimum platform width and length by 8". The lowered height on lift table models becomes 9".
  4. End and Side Loading - On lift table models, reduce the end and side loading capacities by 2% for every inch added to the standard minimum length or width. Reduce the end or side loading capacities by 33% if the loads are going to be rolled onto the platform when the lift is other than fully lowered.

B. ELECTRICAL:

  1. Standard voltage is 230/60/3. The motor supplied will operate on 208, 220, 230, 240, 440, 460, 480/60/3.
  2. While single phase operation is not generally recommended, 115/60/1 and 230/60/1 motors are available.
  3. Due to size constraints, the controller on the 24" travel lift tables can't be mounted under the platform.
  4. See Fig.3 for plug and receptacle information on prewired lifts.

C. HYDRAULIC POWER UNITS:

  1. On deluxe power units, if the frequency of operation is more than one full lift every: a) 3 minutes on lifts less than 5000 pounds capacity or b) 4 minutes on lifts greater than 5000 pounds capacity, the motors may overheat. Jog lifting must be limited to one 2 second jog every 10 seconds and not exceed 200 motor starts per hour. Use a high cycle duty power unit if the frequency of operation exceeds the above.

D. LIFT & TILT:

  1. The load center of gravity must stay 3-1/2" inside the platform when fully tilted or the unit may require special lag down provisions.
  2. The standard lip return on the tilt table is 1/2" x 8" high x the full platform width.
  3. Lift and Tilt tables have an external deluxe power unit.

E. LIFT & TURN:

  1. Eccentric loading should not exceed 1/2 the load on 1/2 the platform on platforms up to 48" square, or 3/4 of the load on 3/4 of the platform on platforms longer than 48".
  2. If loads are to be rolled onto the turn table, corner supports may be required.
  3. Powered turn tables are non-reversing.
  4. Push button controls are standard.

F. EXTRA WIDE LIFT TABLES:

  1. No further technical information.
G. DOUBLE LONG LIFT TABLES:
  1. Reduce the end and side loading capacities by 2% for every inch added to the standard minimum length or width, but end or side loading is never less than 40% of the catalog rating.

H. DOUBLE WIDE LIFT TABLES:

  1. Heaviest loads should be rolled over the roller end of the lift.

I. DOUBLE HIGH LIFT TABLES:

  1. Lifts must be securely lagged to the floor.
