Union Special 2200B is a portable bag closer for sewing light to heavy bags or geotextiles. The 2200B sews a two thread double locked stitch (type 401), but can easily be converted into single thread chain stitch (type 101). The 2200B has an adjustable stitch length range of 3 to 8½ stitches per inch and can sew materials up to 3/8″ thick or up to 24 plies of paper. The 2000B sews a two thread double locked stitch (type 401), but can easily be converted into single thread chain stitch (type 101).
The synchronized upper and lower feed dogs grip both sides of the bag, guaranteeing an even feed and constant stitch length even on difficult materials. The 2200B has a built-in thread chain cutter and the motor’s ball bearings are dustproof and permanently lubricated. The motor can be made dust proof, by inserting plastic covers and gaskets into the motor vent slots.
