Check weighers ensures the product’s target weights are met to meet Department of Agriculture Weights and Measure standards.
Bag filling scales cannot be weight certified for products that are sold by weight, separate checkweigher conveyors are used to weigh & verify bag’s weight is within established parameters. A check weigh conveyor is a short horizontal conveyor located after the bag closer and has an “isolated scale” that weighs each bag as it passes over.
Options include: data recording, reject alarms & lights, and product rejection.
