Onion bags come in a variety of materials (i.e. poly woven, burlap and mesh). Onion bags range is size from the 5 & 10 lbs. bags commonly found at grocery stores up to the commercially available 50 lb. burlap bags.
For 5 lb. & 10 lb. retail onion bags we recommend: the NW Bagger Model ABH-1B gross weigh bag filler. These bags are typically closed with a ring tie.
For 20 lb. to 50 lb. onion bags there are a number of bag fillers options depending on your specific requirements.
Often the Fischbein Model F portable hand held sewer or the Fischbein Model 400 NS bag sewing pedestal is used to close these bags.
