In the realm of industrial packaging, Inpak Systems works with a variety of top-notch industrial packaging companies. We offer well-made, durable, and competitively priced machinery, all of which perform consistently well for customers of all sizes. In this blog post, we’re reviewing a Closing option in the form of the Union Special (US) models 2200 and 4000 portable bag closing machines.

US 2200 M18
The US 2200 M18 is a battery-powered bag closer that is ideal for mobile applications where corded power is not available. It features a two-thread double-locked stitch (type 401) and an adjustable stitch length from 3 to 8½ stitches per inch. The US 2200 can sew materials up to 3/8″ thick or up to 24 plies of paper. It is also lightweight and portable, weighing only 12 pounds.

The 2200 M18 has an 18-volt LI plug-in rechargeable battery capable of sewing up to 9mm thick fabric or up to 24 plies of paper. The maximum recharging time is 90 minutes. The 2200 M18 has coarse top and bottom feed, a larger thread cone, and variable RPM. It includes a battery charger and uses larger-size heavy-duty needles.

The US 2200 is a versatile and durable portable sewing machine that is ideal for a variety of bag closing and sewing applications. The US 2200 is a rechargeable, battery-operated, portable stitcher for joining geotextiles, fabrics, and closing paper, jute, cotton, or plastic bags.

This handheld bag-closing machine is the only one in the world with an upper and lower feed for sewing material together in the same layer. The contact pressure of the feed dogs can be adjusted to protect surfaces.

Usually, this machine is suspended by means of a spring-loaded autostat to facilitate the work. However, it is also possible to attach the machines to a pedestal with a foot switch to facilitate and increase production. At the same time, the height adjustment allows you to reproduce a constant straight seam as often as you want, which strengthens the overall qualitative image of your products in the sale.
